Default adjusting chain slack on 93 1000F

I dug out my hanes manual to get the specks for the proper slack in the chain in my 93 1000F.
The instructions are EXTREMELY easy to understand. The catch is all it says about the specs is to adjust to proper limits until the free play is correct. THEY NEVER BOTHERED TO PUT THE SPECS IN THE MANUAL!

Does anyone have the proper free play limits for the drive chain?

thanks and ride safe.

I Went back to my manual and dug a litle deeper and found the specs for the chain slack.
for those interested, its

15 to 25 MM or 0.6 to 1.0 inch.

As an atonement for my less than stellar research, I will ride an extra 1000 miles this month.

Ride safe

Typically a little extra slack is better than not enough
