Exhaust Blowing

Hi guys, between running around today I managed to get a bit of time to work on the bike.
Bought some good quality 'easy outs', but they're not coming out easy![Frown](https://cbrforum.com/forum/images/smilies/frown.gif)
I got one of 'em in there good and tight but the grips I have just wont twist the b4stard thing! Been searching through my tool box to see if anything fits, but no luck, am thinking I'm now gonna' have to shell out for a tap and die set, but a good quality set will cost big $$$![Frown](https://cbrforum.com/forum/images/smilies/frown.gif)

If you've tried 'reasonable force' with the good quality easy out, heat, lube (just don't guys

IMO putting more and more leverage on the easy out could be asking for trouble! Good luck finding a drill bit to get a broken one of those out.
Unless metalworking etc. is a hobby there's no point buying expensive tools that you might never use again. If you can borrow a tap and die set (using the currency of beer

My naturally good manners prevent me responding to that as I'd like!

The ride in was crap too. Drizzle and huge gusts of wind from the side on a really exposed stretch of highway. I had to hang on that's for sure!
Enjoy those frosty beverages mate!
Hawk; When you find a way to grip that extractor try the freezer spray first in the hole you've drilled in the stud. I wouldn't use it as well as heat but instead. I can't remember what the stuff's called but it worked for me a few times on the rusty bikes of my youth.
Good luck mate, it's bloody frustrating when a simple job turns into a marathon effort.
Oh well...work calls..

Got some freeze spray on order Dave ![Icon Wink](https://cbrforum.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
Plan is to try to buy a tap wrench locally tomorrow, if not I'll order one on line, which wont get here until after my next trip, by which time I'll have the freeze spray as well.
Then I should be able to go in with all guns blazing!!![Icon Hunter](https://cbrforum.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_hunter.gif)
I'll post a pic up Mark, so you can give an opinion
