So, heated up the studs and they came out OK, but the snapped one is still in there. Drilled it and used an 'easy out' but it's just stripped the threads on the 'easy out' so it wont grip any more.
The shops are closed now so I can't get a new one 'till tomorrow, damn!
Don't know if it's because the tool is bad quality, or I'm just not doing it right?
Drill a hole, tap it in with a hammer and twist anti-clockwise with a mole wrench or grippers???
Any tips anyone?

Sounds like a crap easy out bit .......the good
ones are hardened steel and there's
no fecking way they'd strip / sheer the threads
Get a quality one .......... (btw you may need to
drill a bit deeper - measure off against a removed
stud and tape your drill bit as a mark about 1-2 mm's
from the end of the stud) you want that easy out to
be able to grab as much of that stud remnant internally
as possible also the more stud material you remove the
more pliable the remaining stud becomes and so easier
to remove ....well up to a point that is
Also give that stud two or three max heat cycles maybe
if ya can get smaller steel bolt into the drilled hole while
repeating this process a few times will help transfer heat
into the stud. Heat it to RED hot (the bolt) 3 times........
but be careful with surrounding alum .
This repetitive process will help break the thread "bind" free.
use your new easy out (stud remover) 1 min right after
the last heat up .........quick as you can .....very firm pressure
pushing against the easy out so she bites good
Also you could initially hold the stud remover with a vise grip
and tap with a hammer while twisting her in so the bit gets
a good bite as opposed to having a ratchet just tear away
and widen the stud out near the threads ...that would not be
good at all .....nope siree
Use the force Steve

Hi guys, between running around today I managed to get a bit of time to work on the bike.
Bought some good quality 'easy outs', but they're not coming out easy![Frown](https://cbrforum.com/forum/images/smilies/frown.gif)
I got one of 'em in there good and tight but the grips I have just wont twist the b4stard thing! Been searching through my tool box to see if anything fits, but no luck, am thinking I'm now gonna' have to shell out for a tap and die set, but a good quality set will cost big $$$![Frown](https://cbrforum.com/forum/images/smilies/frown.gif)

That bloody well stinks Steve ........... not a budge eh ? damn, well might be drilling out
close to the threads and using a tap and die set is the way to go !
Pity you were not over this way ..... I'd lend ya my set mate !
Can't ya get a socket and a breaker bar on the easy out ????
Careful tho don't break the easy out or you are up the creek without a paddle !
