Hi all - could someone tell me if the down pipes (or complete system) from an 89 on CBR1000 fit my 1988?
MOT due this month and the downpipes are rotten around the collector box, and i can't find a (good) used set anywhere, seem to be a few later '89/90 sets around and some people say they will fit, others say they wont??
Any help much appreciated.

1988 & 89
Looks like the part number is the same. The down pipes on a 1990 have some difference, which may be related to smog stuff. Exhaust gas recirculation I think....
If the 89 does not have NUBs on the down pipe as your 88 does NOT have, then they are the same.
If the 89 does not have NUBs on the down pipe as your 88 does NOT have, then they are the same.
