If you can get your fuel at €1.30 you're doing better than we are here. At €1.45 you're worse off. I paid £1.22/litre this morning. eek!!! Like I say, it's still going up. Recession tax.

Bio, I can see your confusion about the warranty bit. I was replying to Lasse who does have a warranty. Lucky bastard!!! The choke check is still the same though but he can have someone else do it for nothin'!!! Bloody lucky bastard!!!!

It's hard to say why your initial couple of tanks should have given you decent/normal mileage and then the sudden drop.
Really, I'd take it back to the dealer and talk to them, especially if as you say, they care about their reputation.
I'd be looking for crap in the carbs next. Blocked jets, air filter, birds nests.... and if you can make time, lift the tank again and take off the short breather pipe which runs between the rocker cover and the airbox and see if it's blocked. THis may not have a direct influence on fuel consumption but can be a pointer to other potential problems depending on what you find in there.
In cold climates you will very likely find that it is full of something that resembles cow snot. Worth checking every once in a while.
Let us know what your friendly dealer has to say.

Crap!!! I whinge paying $1.35 AU for regular unleaded...

Lasse. Don't delay getting to your dealer for them to check it out. If you p!ss about with it too much yourself they might not want to know. Don't tell them you've even touched it, just go in, tell them what's going on and hold up your hands.
