Default All mine!!!

Well my brother dropped off his 06 600RR last night. All mine now!

My reason for starting this post is that I need a few things to get it street ready. He had been keeping it at his apartment and the wind or someone knocked it over a couple times during the night. Just wondering what you would suggest.

Needs new mirrors.
http://www.speedzilla.com/hondarrfutura.shtml or just go with something OEM similar???

Needs new tires before long. Will not be on the track...

Was thinking of doing the rear integrated turn signal???

I don't mind spending money, but I don't want to spend it if I don't have to. Let me know what everyone suggests for these parts.

Also it have flush mount turn signals up front but they really don't flash at ALL??? Have very minor flicker to them but that's about it and doesn't look like a turn signal at all. Any idea what that's all about?

Thumbs up

Seems like you have a bad ground on the turn signals.

Well First, Congrats!

Second, i like turn signal mirrors but imo the 081krr mirrors look pimp on the 600rr but it requires work to fit them. I have a DIY if youd like to see...

Third, Intergrated tail lights are wayyy better looking then the stock fender cleans that tail up really nice.

Forth, as for your flush mounts id guess that when whomever wired them up instead of using the turn signal wire to power the flash they hooked up the running light wire hence the weird little flicker.

Good luck! Be safe

How do I find which wire is the turn signal wire?

Edit: Heres what I have so far....

Each turn signal has two wires coming from it. A yellow and a Black. All wiring was done by a previous owner.

Left side:
Yellow goes through a resistor and then to a solid orange wire.
Black goes to a dark Green.
* there is also a orange with white stripe wire here that is stripped off but not connected to anything.

Right side:
Yellow goes to a solid. Wire looks green but I think it was originally blue. (faded)
Black goes to a Dark Green and a green with white stripe.

Any ideas?

Well thats wired correctly... my guess at this point would be the resistor isnt the right size for this application. Try to rewire it without the resistor see if you get a normal blink

Edit: Make sure that green with white stripe isnt a blue with white stripe because thats the running light power and if thats run into your ground wire that could bugger up you signals...

I pulled it all apart last night and cleaned up the wiring after i found a diagram of how it should be. I came to the same conclusion about the resistor not being the right size. I think I'm just going to order one of these relays I've been reading about and be done with it. Now I just have to figure out so tail lights for the rear.

Right now the front turns just flash CRAZY fast. So fast you really can't tell they are flashing.

Think I'm going to order some Michelin Pilot Power tires online. Found the front and rear for just under $200. The only local shop I've checked with said $90 to mount and balance them. That seem about right?

Glad you found the problem! Once you get the right size resistor itll blink at normal rate.

And about the tires that dont sound bad i havent put enough miles on my dunlaps to change them
