hey whats up guys. im new here
i picked up an 87 1000f . just wondering if anyone had any tips or tricks to swapping the alternator or how much work is involved in doing the swap. thanks again

 

i suggest reading the workshop manual, im pretty sure u can get the alternator off without engine strip, by removing the alt staft nut from the other side then sliding the whole out, but im not 100%, anything to do with stuff inside the gearbox i wouldnt touch without serious research, btw alternators changed in 1992 to a shorter one
