I've moved on to dealing with more CBR1000F complications, this is normal for a bike that was sitting for 26 years with bad gas in its system.

The fuel line 16954-MM5-000 has cracked, but it seems that there are no OEM replacement parts available for this. Has anyone else fixed this sort of problem and what sort of solution did you use?

The fuel screen strainer 16952-MM5-771 seems to be plugged up. I am soaking it in fuel system cleaner for a few days. I do have an inline filter, but would like to have the fuel strainer as well. Seems the part is not available for sale anywhere. Does anyone have a solution for this?

I have only one ignition key for the bike. I would like to get a second key. Does anyone have a solution of which blank key to get?

We have some of the new (Chinese) fairing installed, but to be honest the fitment isn't perfect and so there is a lot of fiddling.

Concerning your fuel line, it's a pretty simple and cheap fix. Just take your old line to an auto parts store and have them match the inside diameter of the line and provide you with a length of new hose. It won't be the specific shape as the old, formed hose but it will absolutely work. The store has reels of fuel line just for this purpose.

For the strainer, they are pretty hard to find but they are on eBay for a nice price. Most people forgo them because of this.

I don't have an answer for your key other than simply take the original to a locksmith. They usually have an abundance of blanks and should have one to fit.

Your key is either:

35121-KW3-771

or

35122-KW3-771

Cheers

Thank you for all the advice! I've got the fuel line replaced with 7/16th hose. The petcock spout is rather big, but the fuel filter is smaller, so had to use strong clamps.
I was able to buy a blank key from amazon, and cut it locally.

Has anyone repainted their fuel tank? I would like to remove the decals from my tank and paint it glossy black. Any ideas on how to do this myself?

Sure. Painting the tank is not really much different than painting anything else, assuming you have experience painting metal.
You'd want to take it down to bare metal then back up again starting with primer. I'm guessing you aren't expecting to reuse the decals. You definitely would need new ones if you plan on have them.
