It's $104.79 off of Crotchrocket.com for a new one.

well, also, theres a relay near the pump too..

Thats the reason I had to bypass it, and i orignally wondered about the pump removal process in the first place.

Its a little relay, with 4 wires. its about a 1" x 1/2" rectangle box. On my bike, it was totally corroded over so I just jumped it with a switch. Only problem is, with the switch, its either on, or off.. and when its on, if your not gassing the hell out of it, it'll get flooded.. its HORRRRIBLE gas mileage..

Hey guys, I rode pretty long distance on highway without pump today. I was not really aggresive, but my babe runs pretty good. I am just afraid when fuel gets low...

there is no reason to worry when the fuel is low. our bikes run just fine without a fuel pump, save your money and just bypass the pump if it goes bad.

To all who are trying to remove the fuel pump from your Hurricanes.
Some insight for the removal of fuel pump...
Of course our bike got a little filter on petcock unit, but still it's better installing a line fuel filter. I removed fuel pump from my Hurricane, but using the same fuel line filter. I check how much resistance on the filter by blowing from inlet toward outlet. There is almost no resistance. The stock filter is good enough for gravity!!

Guys,

I did it. WOT! on the other day, I was on the way to work, BMW 5 serise guy was kind of pushing me on my six. I gave little bit gas and it was about 115 mph. He did not give up and stack on my tail. So... I did WOT and went up to about 135 mph. It was no problem without fuel pump. Also, when gas became low (before I refilled 3.7 gallon) still has no problem. Just for your information....

What I am starting to think is that Honda put the fuel pump on so that the rider did not have to turn the fuel on or off with the pitcock, instead using the key to start fuel flow. Later they removed the fuel pump, because it could lessen the dependability of the bike, and replaced it with the vacuum-activated pitcock.

This is just a guess.
