Default K&N Filter Question

I did a search and couldn't seen to find anything on this.

Is there significant HP or torque to be gained by switching out the stock filter element and replacing it with a K&N? I have a bone stock '07 600RR.

Thanks,
Dave

Only advantage is being able to clean it vs just throwing it away.

If you want to go with a filter the BMC has the same surface area as the stock one.Where the k&n has slightly less.

K&N showed a decrease in hp on the rc51. BMC race filters showed a meager 2hp increase on the 1000rr. i havent seen a back to back oem vs either for the 600 like i have those two
