I just installed a slip on exhaust on my 06 600rr and was wondering do I have to remove the heat shield or can I leave it on? If I were to put it back on how would I go about it because there is a clamp that goes around the exhaust to hold it on in the area of where the heat shield is, I know it is possible because I have seen pictures of the 600rr with aftermarket exhaust with the stock heat shield. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

 

You can take it off and get heat shield tape that will work just as well.
