hi buddies
if i took the shield of my stock exhaust
will the heat melt my tail light?
cbr600rr 2005 btw

Just cut your heatshield with a Dremmel tool, i dont recommend taking it off, but people on here will tell u its fine. I don't agree.

i dont have one, didnt on my other bike either, but i had a carbon fiber pipe on the other and this one is ti. i guess it is just up to your pipe.

I took all the heat shields off, I have a carbon fiber muffler thought.

If I remember correctly doesn't the stock exhaust bolt to the heat shield? If not get the alum tape that most exhaust companies send with their exhaust.. Sticky on one side and alum heat on the other which is what my carbon Yoshi came with.. Just slap some of that stuff up there if your worried about damaging the plastic.. Bare metal muffler against all that plastic, I wouldn't recommend it..
