Thanks I think.Great place.
Since it isn't neutered.I'm done with the timing.I already have the best fix for the low end detonation for now. It's made by Arai.
I'm still hoping to get out of this with a slip on. What can I get out of the air box? 2 hp?

When a full system, power commander & dynoadd up to 20%of the bike's original cost. It's time to think it through. So farmy only gripe is theweight of the stock exhaust can on the very end of the bikechanging thebalance point from what it should be.

The low end detonation noise is actually the primary fuel injectors firing. It sounds and behaves exactly like spark knock, but it's not. The only way to make the noise go away is to run AFRs in the 15-16 range, which is too lean for comfort. Itested it with my power commander, using map values of-25from 20to 100 % throttle, itwas dead silent from 2000-3000 RPM. I almost fainted.

Later, Imanually fired a fuel injector just to hear the magical noise. The search is over... I've foundthe answer to the pinging mystery. Yay!

I've been searching all over the internet to find out if anyone else makes something similar to the TRE for the gixxer or the bonniville box for the Kawi. This is the first place I found a semi answer to my question.

ORIGINAL: baxsom

hondas do not do this.

if you want to install a timing retard eliminator on a 1000cc bike buy a gsxr.

the tre mod actually does work for them

there are only two ways to adjust the timing on a honda 1000rr
honda HRC ecu
or a powercommander ignition module
How about say a Yamaha R1, do they make anything like a TRE for that?

Also does either the power commander ignition module or the HRC ecu do the same thing as the TRE, and if not, how exactly do they differ?

And does either the HRC or the power commander ignintion module ungovern the top speed on a CBR1000RR?

Check out the Dynojet website and see the power curve with the ignition module, its bad ***, over 160 hp at 12000 rpm's. The stock bike dives at 10900 rpm. Should make the bike the fastest to 180.

If you can take alook at page 88 of July issue of Cycle World, Ivan's Timing Retarder Eliminator. Although this for a Kaw. ZX-14 it may help.

Does the ignition module do the same thing for the Honda's as the TRE does for the Suzuki's (will it make the first few gears a lot more responsive)? Also will it disable the top speed governor?

And will the ignition module have the same effects on a CBR600RR?
