Default Header suggestions.....

I bought my 05 CBR1000RR from a friend and he already installed a Two brothers slip on. Well now the only header I can find is cheap Ebay stuff. Where can I get a nice Header without buying a full exhaust? And what do you guys recommend?

Yeah, Tbagr is right.......(Tbagr.... good name... funny..) Your stock header should be fine. If you go full exhaust, your not going to gain that much. The only time I would reccomend going full is if your doing other engine mods.

Thanks, youve just saved me alot of money! I do not plan on anything more than K&N Intake, Two Bros. slip on, and of course the Pwr Commander. Iam going to the dyno sometime this next week. Iam just looking for a good and safe tune.

The full headers will still make a difference. The diameter increases directly out of the head and the get away from the smashed area produced by Honda to meet their sound requirements. you also get away from the rough edges at the 4/2 connection and the exup type butterfly connection.

if you go to Yoshimura's site and email them, they have race support. The Two Bros slip-on you have is shaped to fit the stock pipes and down tube connector. If you order the Yosh headers and connector pipe for their slip[-on, it will connect to any slip-on. they will hook you up if you tell them you crash damaged you headers and dont need a whole system.

If interested, i can give you dyno charts that show an almost 16hp increase over stock with a couple of self mods and the full system. all of the same infor can be found on http://www.hooliganbiketech.net/. he currently has the bike at 157HP and the only difference i have is the full system and i have dyno'ed twice now over 165

he basically gives you the flapper mod, BMC filters, Pair system disabled, PC3 and Egcv removal in step by step.

do you have details of what each mod added? were all your runs done on the same day? some peoplehave picked up 8hp on a stock bike with a custome map. also weather can effect power.

as far as the PAIR. my understanding is it nets no power, just weight reduction, and adds to pollution.

You might as well do it all if you are doing a pc.

I had just a slip on from leo vince on. I pulled a 145 hp.

I did a full yoshi pipe and pc3 and bmc race filters.

I am now pulling 160 hp.

They have to get to the engine to do pc3. Might as well do it all at same time.
