If there were an easy way to get the same *power* from stock gearing (acceleration actually) as you can from -1, +2 for example then Honda would have already done it.

You'd be better off spending the money on light weight wheels and rotors, not to mention a 520 chain conversion kit. All this will drastically reduce the weight of the bike and unsprung weight.
this is the best bet
the better the hp/weight ratio the better
