ive tried a few on other models but the principal still applies. i currently have a set of vortex on my track bike, but i needed to modify since they didnt rise like the stock ones, and then on my 07 i have LSL's and they ROCK (cause no modifying) but they have a bit more vibration in them than the stocks as i can not add the weight at the ends
but they are still better than stock cause they dont flex as much when putting in heavy steering inputs (this is the real reason you would want clipons..nothing else is a real benifit for the road)

I'm doing a front end swap on my F1 and putting on aftermarket clipons instead of stock ones that fit the new forks. I wanted longer bars so I'd have more options for mounting upgraded grips and switch pods (and mirrors if I put aftermarket fairings on) . . . and if I ever dump the bike and bend a clipon it'll be nice to just replace the bar for $15 instead of the whole thing.
