Default clip on question

What purpose do clip ons serve exactly. My bars on my 03 600rr are very painful. They have a angle to them, which is fine if Im at the track laid across the tank, but everyday driving sucks and kills my wrist. Do clip ons correct this angle or what? If so, Im buying some ASAP!

They are the handle bars man. You need risers if they are that uncomfortable for you. They are clip ons with more rise.
Bar risers. Do a search for them on the internet.

Clip ons are two separate units to replace the single piece handlebars. They are likely to be lower and more radical than your current bars and are race bred. The idea being that you can have lower bars if you clip them on direct to the forks / stock, i've not seen then for years. I reckon that they would probably be fowled by your fairing .

Default RE: clip on question

The ones used on the CBR's are described as "Clip on's. on a lot of bikes, a single pieced handle bar is usually set within mounting clamps set up on a single (usually) piece bracket on top of the triple clamp. and can be used to fit anything from touring bars up to ape hangers if you wanted em.
Although the Honda's are a single piece. the bars are set over the top of the front suspension ala "clip on" style
"Clip on's" where the result of modifications done to "straight" bikes in England in the 50's & 60's. called Cafe racers. kind of like the Street Fighter style bikes now. (Take one Norton Featherbed frame, whack in a BSA, Triumph or if you could afford it, Vincent motor. take off everything that's not needed. Friday night get a bunch of your Rocker friends, and race them to a cafe somewhere, flat stick on the main & back roads, get there, get into a fight with a bunch of Mods on their hotted up scooters.

Nothings changed really, cept maybe for the Mods on their scooters......................But I'm sure their out there.
