Default Exhaust questions for my 08 1000RR

I wanted some opinions on getting a aftermarket exhaust - I also have a RC51, with twin devil carbon pipes, reason I say that is I want to use that as an example of what I DONT want this time around. (vtwin, so it will already sound different..but youll see what im saying) The RC51 sounds almost like a muscle car with open headers...

So on my new cbr 1000rr, I am thinking of going with the yosh carbon RS pipe. Is it one of the quieter exhausts? I dont want this thing to scream, but rather just sound better than stock so its more audible. I want it to sound high pitched and "jappy" I dont want the thumping, deep, loudness that the rc51 I have makes. I want something different, and more cival.

I used to have a hindle pipe on my 03 gsxr 600.. thats the sound im going for, versus say like a horrible loud D&D pipe

Who else makes a quiet exhaust? hows the taylormade one stack up? its def the best looking (or, almost non-looking) exhaust, but its not cheap.

Also, I DONT want to get a power commander or do anything else like that, does that matter? i dont need to get any more power out of the bike or move the power band. The purchase of the exhaust is JUST to change the sound for me, thats it. Doesnt have to be the best performing, or anything. I am leaning twards the YOSHI because it comes with that nice black filler panel.

I think the Taylormade is def the best looking, I like how it sound n it would be my choice. They have a sound clip on their site too

You maybe able to get by w/o a PC or similar, but you really gain more from one than just added power, and most if not all pipes will need one or some kind of tuning for them.

I've not seen the yoshi, ya got a link?

see, the yoshi has a cool black "filler" panel, that covers up the piping. Thats not stock. I may get that heat shield for any other choice. Taylormade wouldnt need it though, its got its own cover system.

I'm looking at the FMF and possibly the Jardine RT5.

I have the jardine RT5 and it screams at wot but is pretty tame just cruising but I think everyones opinion of loud is completely different. I to have a 51 and it has a Jardine 2:1 header with a MRGRN gp can on it and that thing is freakin loud!!!

I agree the TaylorMade looks the best but it's just to expensive for me. If your not ever gonna mod the bike though then it might be worth it to you.

Have you done the exhaust flapper mod on your stock can to see if you like that?

The complete taylormade kit isn't all that much more money in comparison to that yoshi. It doesn't even compare to the looks of the taylormade, I'd spend the extra $150 just for the looks of the taylormade.

I need to find out where this TM for that cheap is? The yosh can runs about $430 and the cheapest I've been able to find the taylor made is $800+
