Default chain help

So I had a new chain put on but the master link I bought didn't fit so the shop put a clip type on (i had the riveting one). I just looked at it before I rode home and the clip is definately gone. I have no idea how long it's been off but now I am worried the chain will come apart.

I'm not going to ride it till I call the shop up that did the work but should I be worried about this?

you should be semi worried. since it's pressed on (just not riveted) it'll take some effort to get the chain apart.
clip type masters are ok, not preferred, but if installed correctly shouldn't be an issue..this means dabbing the clip with some type of an adhesive so it doesn't fling off.

i would call the shop and have them install a rivet-type master link. it shouldnt cost much (they might even do it for free if they installed the other one incorrectly) and wont give you any problems at all.

Thanks for the offer but I'm from Indiana. I called them up and he said they would reinstall a clip but I'm to far away to get to it (in school right now). I'm calling the local dealer to see how much a riveted link + install would be.

And no wear and tear, it's been on less than a month.
