Default clutch slipping? or bad gas?

ok so heres the story...
i recently changed my oil with ROTELLA T 5w-40 oil and all was good. i use to run 91 premium in california..
but yesterday i decided to try 87 octane because the manual states that thats all the f3 needs..
now.. the bike feels like its really boggy, kinda like the clutch is slipping.. but the thing is that.. before i filled up it was running fine..

would lower octane cause this to a bike?

not likely i ran both and actually got better mileage out of the lower octane , someone had a post about octane in here thats what made me switch ,cause i was one of those ppl thinkin higher octane better performance but i was wrong . use what the manual suggests

If it runs better with 91/93 ... then use 91/93

when mine did that it wasnt gas that had been sitting for a while or low octane, it was just bad gas that i got from the pump... drained the tank and put new gas in it and it worked fine

i juss drained half the tank and put in 91... n now its running great..
so its either the bike doesnt like 87octane or it was just some bad gass..

In this case, I don't think it's the culpret, but some (non motorcycle-specific) engine oils have MOLY(?) additives (don't ask me what it stands for) that can cause your clutch to slip.

for my own piece of mind, I always buy an oil that specificaly says it's made for use with a wet-clutch.
