I have a 98 F3, just went to start it after it was sitting a week or two, and all I'm getting is a clicking noise from under the seat, is it my battery? The dash and headlight is lit. I rolled it out a couple weeks ago and started it up and it was fine, but then went to ride today and, no go.

If its the battery, can I jump it from a car?

 

Sounds like you need a new battery. Jumping from a car won't work.

 

Ok, well I hope its just the battery because I remember my car clicking like this once and it was the starter or something...maybe I'll see if I can find a cheap charger somewhere, thanks

edit: I looked it up and they say you can jump from a car, but you should have the car turned off and the neg cable going to something bare metal like the rear axle bolt instead of the battery terminal

I don't want to fry anything though so I'm just going to have it charged at Autobarn or something
