Default Repacking Yoshimura RS-3 experiences?

Anyone repacked a Yosh RS-3 on an F3? Looking to get a deeper tone, but don't want to sacrifice performance. I know HOW, I just need to know if I should bother.

I have and I cut it down and it is a little louder and deeper. Cut about 3 inches off and got new stock packing and steel wool. Sounds good, well worth it.

No discernible difference. Maybe +- a couple horsepower, but who cares about that? Its a 13 year old machine lol

Where did you cut it down? I was looking at the thing, and there's barely 3" anywhere to spare. . .

Out of the front of it. I just made it to where the spacing infront of the rivet-on yosh label to the clamp is the same from the back of the label to the rivet band.

Thats what Yoshimura sends with the fiberglass in their rebuild kits. Did you wrap it tight enough?
