Hey, Im new to the board, and this is my first post. I have an 06CBR600F4I with about 3k on the bike. Im planning on taking a roadtrip to Norcal from Long beach near the end of May and I had a few questions.

1. What's the best route to take, that will be fun without being extremely long. (final destination is san jose/mt. view)
2. I will most likely be staying only the weekend, and I am looking to get some bags but not sure what... plus I will be bringing a spare helmet strapped to the back seat with a cargo net. Is a tank bag big enough to hold a few days worth of clothes? or should I get saddle bags?
3. What do I need to check on the bike before taking this trip?

I am looking at riding up in Nor cal area end of May aswell. I dont have anyone riding with me as of now cause everyone I ride with is married or cant afford it at the moment. I will be trailering my bike to NV ( I live in Omaha Ne but am from NV) and then riding off into CA. Let me know what dates you are riding and lets see if we can maybe cross paths!

I can try to do a roadtrip as well... keep me updated, I would love to go (im in Studio City, right next to Universal Studio's/City Walk)... Ive been dying to ride PCH - way up north (i hear its the most beautiful ride in the US)
