Default wheelie trouble also top speed ?s

cant seem to hold a wheelie in first or second gear... any tips? and i'v heard the 01 f4i top speed is like 160 iv tried once and hit 167.. is somthing wrong with gauges is there any gov?

Speedometers are not accurate at 160 miles an hour....

hahah this post made me laugh.. (noob)

-Practice your clutch wheelies while not in traffic. The f4i is the easiest streetbike to wheelie, EVER.

-I hit 167 on the dot before as well, although most say there's a 10% speedo error at that speed so realistically your getting a little past 155. but i tell people what my speedo told me

i am a newby... been riding a couple months but yea any tips for clutching and holding it. i seem to pay more attention to how high i am then thinking bout brake and throttle

I suggest discussing wheelies in the stunt section to avoid getting bashed

Does nobody look at their tach when trying for top speed? That will tell you exactly how fast your going. If your stock and at 14,000rpm in 6th gear your doing 165mph.

1st gear get bike to 22-24 MPH pull in clutch give it gas release clutch
2nd gear get bike to 47-55 MPH pull in clutch give it gas release clutch
be ready as you well go up fast best when giving it gas to start with just a little above what your doing at the set speed and give a little more each time you try so this way you well know where it well bring you.
