Default question on clutching my 929

so I'm messing around with clutching up my 929. it will not wheelie in 2nd on power alone with the stock gearing. I have a -1 front sprocket but its not installed yet. how much throttle should i use to clutch it up? I afraid of looping it if I use too much. Am I really in danger of looping it or is it just in my head?

I have been poping the clutch at 5k at 45-50 in 2nd. I know thats enough I just don't know if I should hit the gas then pop it or do it at the same time or what and how much throttle to give it so it comes up but I don't loop it.

I guess the first one is the hardest. onceI get it I'm sure it will not be that big of a deal

Try to stay consistent with the speed you know it comes up for you at and master getting it up without fear. Then you can move on to holding it longer, and finally to getting it up higher and then holding it there longer. You have quite a way to go before you reach the balance point that you can cruise at without much throttle.

whenever I was clutching stock gears I would ease into the throttle while letting the clutch out. around 8 or 9 grand. since i've regeared it, it comes up in third around the same but second is around4 or 5 grand. balance point on these bikes is big compared to the 600rr or f4is. Just don't overdo it. learn at your own pace and cover the rear brake.

Just take it slow while you are learning. Always keep your foot over the rear brake. If you come to high, generally instincts will cause you to roll off the throttle and the motion of your body leaning forward will push the brake as long as your foot is there.

Take it slow and you can do it in a relatively safe manner. Once you start getting it, its a crazy addiction

on stock sprocket i'd bring up my 2nds between 20mph to 25 mph. you can power it up in the higher rpm but power wheelies are poo. Just keep working on it and it gets alot easier.
