Default clutching up

I was practicing more wheelies today i need to find a better place to practice though. Anyway i actually rode one out for a little today i want to practice more standing up though cause i cant see **** sitting down but my question is when your clutching up a wheelie do you go full throttle as soon as you let the clutch ? Im not really paying attention to exactly what im doing rpms, speed etc im more or less just feeling it but today when i rode that one out for a little i think i went full throttle and the front just kept coming up and id let off for a sec and it would drop then id get back on it and it would rise again . It was the first time i felt like i was controlling it instead of just popping it up and setting it down.

im probably not the guy to be asking but just listen to it if you are trying to watch the tach its no fun, just rev it and slip the clutch out start out at a low rpm and just keep bringin it higher until it comes up

damn it people. stop asking for what rpm's you should be at(you shouldn't be looking at your tach anyways), go out and ****ing practice. this really is not hard.....

want to go higher give it more gas
if its not coming up give it more gas
and cover the rear brake so you don't loop (this means you have to press it when you have an "OH ****!" situation)

not every bike is going to be the same, so pull the clutch in give her some gas and let that **** out and voila you have a wheelie.

if you are just lurching forward and the front doesn't leave the ground then give it more gas.

ya gotta practice, lots of practice. GO OUTSIDE GET ON YOUR BIKE AND GO PRACTICE!!

reading on how to do this will only go so far, you need to have the want to do this........

-cbrnasty: you're getting there, now try to bring it back to BP. this is when you feel like you're about to fall off, and your forks will be parallel with the ground. once you're there TAP the rear brake to keep you there, you'll know what i mean when you do it. so go practice...

good luck...

i dont look at the tach when i practice. i more or less just listen to the bike. i was trying power wheelies but cant get the front off the ground and reading more people said that its bad to try power wheelies while learning. The only reason i asked about the RPM was just so i dont overer gas it and loop the bike. Thanks for the help. I want to practice but of course its freaking raining!!!

Thanks,
Jay
