Hello Officer

RE: Hello Officer
Northernfirepower, I'm also a WI resident. I don't know exactly how the cops will deal with parking lot stunts and I'm sure it varies in each city and with each officer. I do know that two traffic violations that you can be charged with while on private property (your own or somebody else's) are drunk driving and reckless driving. Hope that helps. Reckless is worth 6 license points.

RE: Hello Officer
I'm part of a VW group in Richmond and we used to meet at a bank's private lot after their business hours. We had written permission to be there and I mean NOBODY did any kind of driving other than pulling into the lot and backing into a space. The Henrico police would show up every week and hassle us for being there even with written permission from the bank's owner. The first two weeks saw us getting kicked out even withpermission in writing, then for about another month after that saw a lot of roll-bys with some of the county mounties stopping in to look around and drive away without a word.
Written permission shouldn't be taken as carte blanche to just go into the lot, if it's visible from a public roadway and the cops see you, you're just might be SOL.
