Not a myth. It's an opinion that loud pipes save lives. Pls do not open that debate as it usually ends with weapons drawn and thread closure

Back to the original issue, for long trips, get a tank bag. Pack it full,
with soft stuff at the top. Lay against that, it will keep you upright
in very good comfort. All this and still have good leverage and steering
control of the bike.

Road conditions, weather, and traffic permitting I ride with one arm either on the tank or on my leg. I can sit more upright that way and stretch my back. I'm 5' 8" so I just about fit my F4I perfectly but I noticed when I'm in full tuck I'm extremely tense. Idk if it's something I'm doing or what but I can't ride like that for long. On cold days I like to use the rear shock reservoir or one of the openings in my fairings to warm my left hand whenever possible. You'll get comfortable the more you ride. Really I'm the most uncomfortable on the highway. I like to be involved in the ride because it keeps me moving and loose so I try to avoid long hauls on the highway.

Tank bag will come in handy...pack some stuff in it and also use it as a chest + chin pillow so your body is resting on the tank....very comfortable position.

I personally like to ride sitting up, not resting too much on my wrists. I also sometimes put my legs up on my frame sliders, kind of like forward controls on a HD, so I can stretch them out if I am putting in some miles. I know this post is months old, but my

Difficult to describe, I don't really think about it. I suppose the best way to describe it is leaning forward a bit and kinda hugging the bike.

40mph or less I like to sit straight up but any more than that and I'm usually tucked into the bike
