Default My 2nd Thread here - Acceleration/Braking is abrupt!

Hi guys,

This is my 2nd thread here...so far enjoying the bike and the forum

So, I understand the throttle and braking must be smoothly used at all times and in some circumstances, it's just necessary. However, my 05 F4i seems to have an abrupt behavior. When I twist the throttle, it almost goes from nothing to a snap-like forward movement (for lack of better words). Same thing with front brake, it goes from nothing to dive-in braking... I don't get it.

I'm new at riding, but when I accelerate or brake a car, it's usually so smooth you can't drop tell at what point it stopped or began moving. I prefer smooth transitions....unless I'm in a "Spirited Riding/driving" mood. So how do I achieve that in my bike...

Thanks in advance!

Slow down....

You have to be easy on your control inputs. Cars are much heavier and not as responsive as bikes. Don't worry, practice will help with this. Just keep at it.
