How to get rid of Chicken Strips
#32
It really has nothing to do with how good of a rider you are. Its only a visual gauge for wanna be's to see how far over your bike has been. I admit, I have razzed some of my fellow riders in the past, and probably will in the future. But its only in fun. And while I consider myself a decent rider and do not have any strips on my bike, Some of the guys I ride with do. In fact, a few of them are far superior riders than I am and still have strips on their tires. Most people who ride understand it doesn't mean anything.
In all honesty though, Going slower is how to get rid of them. No need to dive bomb into corners like a mad man and hope the bike sticks. If you ever notice, its the slower moving corners that allow you really tip the bike in. Not fast moving sweepers.
If I were you though. Just keep riding and forget about the strips. If you want to get better at carving it up, thats one thing. But don't dwell on something that has no "real" meaning at all like chicken strips. Unless your going to Arby's.. then chicken strips are ok to think about.

Mine are tiny after regular riding and some trips to the reservoirs and the twisty roads, no crazy speeds or line crossing just leaning the bike over and holding a steady 60mph through 30 mph suggested speed limit switch backs. There was a dodge ram ahead of me doing 70 through them so I felt 60 wasn't even close to dangerous on that road. But I really don't care how big they are I just happened to notice it the other day in the garage.

The width of the unused portion of a rider's tires is directly correlated to and a clear indicator of a rider's manhood, or lack thereof. This is no joking matter my friend
