LOL... aqua man !!!
"splish splash I was just taken a bath and it wan even satadey night !! "
How many bloody times did those ****ing trail bike exhausts get us hey !!!! freakin ouch !!!!
As well as being an undercover helmet crash tester , I had one other run as a XL250 stunt bike rider .... my secret instructions were to...
" hit the car " hit the tree " bounce off the curb " flip off the back " try to out run the local cops more than 6 times in any week !! " see if I could actually ride through the ladies fence without her knowing " and many many more great , yet unmentionable stunts , all done in the name of testing the new xl250 honda ...!! lol
EDIT :
for ALL new riders out there reading this chit ....!!
NEVER TRY THIS ON YOUR BIKE !! always use someone else's ...lol
and only attempt riding on your side in water if you are trained to do so ...!!!

But at least the pipe didn't burn the chit out of my leg.

Ok My two cents on this topic.I learned on a 100cc honda with no instruction. Fell twice cost a busted ankle. Moved to a 67 Norton then a 500 yamaha. The yamaha was faster, but the Norton showed what good handling can do for you.
Now,my freind, get the 100 bucks have your bro' go to the class. You can "teach" him the finer points of watching cars, not to be foolish in traffic, and let him do whatever once he has his own bike. I wouldnt let my brother learn on mine. It's not a question of if but when he drops it.
All kidding aside the MSF is cheaper than a side of plastic, headlights, new bars, etc. And how much does a broken ankle cost these days. Both times I fell I was clowning and showing off with no experience......

I just spent the last year helping three of my family members learn how to ride...two brand new and a retread. I completely agree professional instruction is vital. Especially for those that don’t have a license yet. Than after 1500 miles the next level.
Proper Gear!!! Key is to also assess and prepare the new rider considering the many NEW muscles they become aware of. I also suggest starting with a 250 for “awhile” then ramping up.
I have witnessed to many young riders getting on bikes that fit their ego and not their skill level.
