Definately sounds like a stuck accelerator unless he refused to take his foot off the gas lol. Rev limiters suck lol

yeah the accelerator does seem to be stuck. but that could be from hitting the cop car, its pretty clear he did it on purpose, he should have never been in reverse to begin with

If it's an auto you have to go from park to reverse to neutral to drive, maybe he just didn't pay attention when putting it into gear, and thought it was in drive and tried to take off. I can easily see it being a mistake.
