My friends and I went to the local 1/4 mile strip last weekend and got some videos. In this one I'm in the far lane (02 954) and my friend is in the close lane (09 1kr). He edged me by a couple tenths. It was his first time at a strip and only his second pass. He now has the go fast bug and wants to get 10's on our next (last of the year) trip to the track.

Where at in Minnesota are you?

 

Holy crap did U guys get of the line slow!
I dont mean to be insulting in anyway,but maybe I'm just used to launching a 600 with the revs hovering at 11K rpms,it just looked and sounded that way.
I know 1Ks have twice as much torque as a 600 so U dont have to rev them as much to get a good launch, but I think U guys could work on your 60' times quite abit.
What ETs were U guys running?

 

Both mid 12's this pass, like I said my buddy is just learning launching and racing all together. And the 954 stands with no problem, so I am still trying to control that to launch harder.

 

Last of the year trip on the 9th of October, I'm goin for 11's and hes aiming for 10's
