how to strip a tank?

Default how to strip a tank?

how do you get the stickers off the tank with out getting to carried away...any ideas?

short answer you cant they are under the clear. you can sand them off, which takes entirely too long, or go the route i did and use aircraft stripper. a little bit messy but takes like 15 min.

Ya, if they're under the clear your only option is to remove it all. If you're lucky and they're on the clear, a hot hair dryer will loosen the glue and let you pull them up. Then you need something to remove the residue.

heat gun and adhesive remover, if there under the clear cloat, is it time for a new paint job??!!

i think i will buy the exact same stickers and put them over the top...sound like a good idea?

why do you want to remove the stickers in the first place if your just going to put new ones on?? Cover them, only you would know the difference

then just sand them off you will be alot happier with it in the end
