90+mph (150kph) on crowded public roads. What an *******, so was the lead rider. The world is not our playground; sportbikes are fun, but they aren't toys. The truth of the matter is sadley, most of us aren't talented enough or smart enoughto be safely riding these bikes with any real proficiency.

 

if you watch the speedo he is going 130kph in a couple spots and I know I saw mostly 100 or up.

Unbelievable. Riders with poor judgement are just as much of a threat to others as car drivers.

Lok carefully at the video...
He was consistently crossing (or leaning over) the yellow line (strike one)
Then he tries to pass a car on a blind corner by crossing the yellow line (strike two)
So then when the oncoming motorcyclist just misses him he gets startled, and jumps (look at the video again, you'll see the image jumping and swerving) upsetting the balance of the bike, and causing him to go even wider on the opossing lane. that's when he encounters the oncoming R-1

Even if he had the skills, he oviously lacked the dicipline (and you need both to survive on the street)
Motorcycling, like aviation, is really no more dangerous than driving a car, however, just like our sky bound counterparts on their planes, the bike does not suffer fools lightly, and the consequences are very unforgiving.
