holy crap, i was just thinking, he barely missed that other rider. what happened, did the guy die?

 

That gave me that horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach. Target fixation or riding beyond their means, sadly, that was completely avoidable.

 

Repost, but that's amazing that helicopter was able to land there! I'm pretty sure one guy died...there was a white sheet covering something toward the end there.

He didn't really look like he was going all that fast to totally stuff up a corner like that.I ride a coast road like that and I'm sure we go faster. It all comes back to the old racing saying. "You go where you took" Or as EPNF4i said

 

Lots of bad choices made there. Passing on a blind right hander double yellow was the worst choice.

 

It seemed like he was going along at a reasonable pace, then he got passed by another bike, and finally he started to try to keep up with the other guy. I don't know if the other guy was in his group, or the bike-cam guy was just trying to keep up because the otherbike passed him. It seems to me he started riding beyond his limits...but I guess that is pretty obvious from the outcome.
