I'm heading out their August 15th with my wife, my buddy and his girlfriend. Possibility others. If anyone is out there during this time, look me up. Also, I'm trying to decide which hotel to book. I have the follow narrowed down. Any suggestions? Any Deals Gap veterans want to offer some info on hotel, food, etc? Thanks guys!

Hey, depends which side you are comeing from as to which hotel I woul recommend. I have stayed in the 2 wheel inn, before and the people that own it are great. However if you are comming from the TN side, you would be better off to get something in marysville. I think we stayed in the Princess Inn last ime we went the rooms are dirt cheap, but they are not the best, clean but NOT fancy. The way I looked at it is we spent about 6 hours a day at the room why spend big bux if you will hardly there. Food there is a couple nice restruants in Marysville, not too much on the NC side tho! Be sure to check out the loop from deals gap over to the cherolla skyway and back. However dont limit your self to just the gap.

 

Oh and Gerald, I'll be up at the gap on the 2nd you better bring your a game. BTW I ordered both of the camera mounts and a manual chain tensioner for the big mule!
