has anyone been to deals gap ? Ive heard good things. some buddy's are going down this weekend. im tryin to decide if i want to tag along. 20 hour drive to get there from where i live.

IT KICKSASS!!!! Weekends during peak season kinda suck tho because of popo presence. Not bad tho unless you are pushing real stupid like tho.

I am up there a few tymes a year including a rally I help hold there. Plan on being up there weekend of Oct 25 too.

me, i've heard stories from there and looked up many'a picture. i'd LOVE to go there someday when i can actually afford a vacation. until then, i'll just stick to Skyline Dr. in VA (which i still havent gone to but i've heard its VA's version of Deals Gap and im only a hour or two from it)

 

VA n West VA has plenty of mountains, so good roads are there to be rode. VA isnt too far from Deal's Gap. We had ppl from CO drive here for our Rally back in July. My sister flew in, as did a lad from AU. The place gets ppl from all over the world visit it. Some dont like because its to tight n technical and they cant fly@120mph on it. In reality you have to be a DAMN good rider to ride it much faster than the posted limits. Its not a road for a complete n00b, or someone who is use to all straight roads. Unless they have some self control and some skills. Its not Lucuna Seca either so leave the trail braking at home with the squids or on the track.

Plenty of other great roads in the surrounding area too.
