Default She's ready.....2k starts on Saturday

Well, I have the old girl ready I think. New tires (Michelin Pilot Road 4 GT's), new fork seals, new hydraulic fluids everywhere, and new clutch. I did a test run (just 150 miles) on Saturday fully loaded. That Wolfman dry duffel is AWESOME. I used it last year on my dual sport and it was great....everything is TRULY waterproof in there, and it holds a LOT. I can pack it more fully this year because it won't be sitting directly behind me like it was on the dual sport. I even cleaned her today with some help from my little buddy (in photo). On Saturday we leave from Chicago, to Missouri then Arkansas, then home. 2,000+ miles total. I've been looking forward to this trip for MONTHS.

Bloody marvellous Warner. Keep a running blog and post pictures if you can. It's a couple of months to my next road trip and I'm hanging out.

Entertain me

Cheers, SB

Looks like your little buddy is sizing up your front wheel for a pee, bike looks great and those wheels look like you have been using teeth whitener on them.

Enjoy your trip, lucky bugger!

Truth be told, "my little buddy" isn't completely normal. She doesn't pee on stuff though...that's the other dog (who can't see "my little buddy" unless he wants to die) I guess she takes after her owner in that respect. Thanks for the complement. I just use Dawn dishwashing liquid, which pretty much does everything, on the wheels and a bottle brush and regular kitchen sponge with the scrubby side.

I'm really looking forward to this trip.....hoping for good weather, but also realistic knowing that it would be almost impossible not to get rained on. If we do, it'll be the first time that 27 year old bike has been rained on, believe it or not.
