I have so many places I want to go just on the west coast of the USA, there is not enough time in life to head elsewhere (at least not in this life, but I will be back over and over again). There are a lot of old Desert mining "almost" ghost towns out here that have little mom and pop stores in them. Its like watching the old spaghetti westerns with Clint Eastwood riding through these old towns.
I like the old architecture of European buildings, but to me the move west in the 1800s in the USA has the history that changed a lot in this country and the world. Think about it. No move west, no large immigration to the USA from all over the world. Lots of history for me to find in the small towns. Google map Gerlach, Nevada and take a look at Bruno's. That old fart still serves up breakfast at the age of 90!!! I like meeting grisley old farts that make my wrinkly but* look young!!! Riding out into a ghost town or almost ghost town and talking to the people who live there while breaking bread with them is my Holy Grail in life. They all like a grey hair old fart riding a sport bike, so I am always invited back for another meal. "Just bring that CBR-F again Joe" is what they say. Heck, bring a bottle of Jack and they will talk your ear off about "the good ole days." Love them stories..... but, I wish they would keep their false teeth in when talking, I don't like the spitting part! ha, ha..
Troutlet, your young but* should head west and talk to the history that will soon be lost except in stories on the internet - not in person.
I do like the Youtube vids of the rides through the country side of Classic's home country and Europe. Youtube has made me see what I thought I would never have a chance to even see let alone virtually experience.
