CBRF UK- Events, rides, dates
Game on!
Perfect for everyone within 300 miles of the south coast.
I'll invite everyone back to my place at the end of the ride for refreshments. (There's also some great pubs there too). It just involves about another 50 miles round the north tip of Kent, through planet Thanet, and then back down the Thames estuary a tad.
Come on peeps CBRFUK needs you and you know you want to, don't you? Stop thinking about it and put your name down here. Days like this you don't forget in a hurry, especially the buzz of riding with a gaggle of CBRs.

In fact it's such a short ride I'm actually going to be pushing mine to raise money for charity between Brighton and Sandwich. However, the last 50 miles of my ride will be at just below the CBRF speed of light limit to allow myself the pleasure of greeting me and arranging the refreshments/ale when everyone else appears across the hyperspace vortex horizon and stuffs their forks into my titanium reinforced, helium cushioned front wall.
Please donate generously.

Head count!
Who's actually up for this now?
From Brighton, round the coast to Sandwich and back to my place if anyone fancies it.
Come on peeps. This is just a day out for a bit of fun.

See you ALL soon

Aha!
Lights, Action, Camera!
Hawk's in! Yeehaaaa!
I thought as this is the Cinque port ride we should all know a little about the history of the subject.
Here's a good link explaining how the ports came about, and more importantly where and which towns they are.
Cinque Ports - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
There's a map on the link which shows how the coast line used to look before the sea changed everything several hundred years ago.
Ricks original route was bang on for the 5 major ports but there were also towns known as limbs, associated with the major ports, some which now are far from the sea after being blocked by the shifting of sands during the great storm of 1287.
Anyway, I'll stop waffling, you can read all this for yourself.
Looking forward to next Saturday.
Rick/Hawk, where ever you want to meet, please let us know. I'm easy. Looks like my fair lady is coming out to play for the day. Hooray!!!
Shall we say 10:00 to meet?

Guys, just a quick guide for next weekend - not set in stone just a guide for the key points. Nice 160 miles plus home trips.
