Default CBRF UK- Events, rides, dates

Following the first planned event for CBRF UK members last weekend I thought it might be a god idea to start a thread for everyone to throw in some more ideas for up and coming events, rides, whatever.
It's unlikely that any given date would suit everyone so to ensure we can all fit in an event or two sometime in the year let's get a few more arranged.
Whoever fancies coordinating a particular ride can then start another thread for that particular event if there's enough support for it in this thread, updating info on their first post as the time gets nearer.
I think everyone who came along last week found that useful.

I'm definitely up for another ride out. Cruising along with other CBRs is a unique experience...... a real buzz.
Anyway, chuck in your thoughts....... let's see what happens.

This thread is for keeps, as long as there are CBRs still schmoozing along British roads. Come on. Be part of it!

Blackpool is Shakey's manor. Where is the old bugger? Or is he still trying to fix that server that stopped him coming last weekend?
Ace cafe would be good. Just up t'road from me.

Apparently this thread is to be moved to the roadtrips section by Sir Sprock. Stuck to the top too.
Should provide more visibility and catch more folks attention.
Thanks Sprock. Much appreciated.

I still want to know when you're in town/Ireland/Where ever, this side of the pond. I'm sure there's a few guys and gals who'd make trip to meet up with you. I'm certainly game.
C'mon...... spill the beans man.

Haha! The Old Bugger's still here matey!

The Monday meet's near Blackpool are actually held in St Annes Square, Lytham St Annes, Lancashire. Postcode for SatNav is: FY8 1SB

The organisers are all good mates of mine and are my usual rideout crew.

It's a great meet on a sunny Monday evening, with sometimes upwards of 600 bikes attending!

They're going to be doing some "themed" meets this year, the first one being an Italian night on Monday 2nd May 2011. They have a team from Ducati UK, with demo and display bikes attending, so it should be a good do!

The CBR night is currently pencil'd in for Monday 11th July 2011 + there are also plans for '80's and '90's themed evenings. I'll keep you all informed as it develops.

I only live about 1/4 mile away from the meet site, so would be more than happy to offer help / advise / or even a meetup to anyone who might venture along.

I'll also be posting up some invitations to join up for some North West UK Sunday rideouts around the Lake District, Lancashire and Yorkshire very soon, all being well ....

Keep it shiney side up! See ya soon

Question Long(ish) ride idea

Reading through the suggestions what about Ace Cafe, London to Blackpool on a weekend.
We could leave Ace Cafe Sunday arrive Blackpool Monday via a night out/curry/chinese
More CBRs in a group would look impressive.........

Anybody else up for early July?

Shakey iv just looked at the web site for your Blackpool themed Monday nights

Welcome - Fylde Bike Meet

& it looks like the CBR night is May 16th. If it is then i'll pop over coz im going to bonny scotland in july on the CBR so would'nt be able to make the 11th.

Please can you check that date & let us know.

Anyone else fancy Blackpool to see shakey.. oh and a few other bikes.

Yeh! I noticed that too matey... I think that the 16th May was the night originally planned, but then Rob ( the forum chairman) posted this up a couple of nights ago:

------------------------

You'll have seen the post, re the Italian Bike Night, which is now confirmed, so thought I'd float some ideas for other nights through the summer, for your input/comment:

23/5/11 - Gixxer Night
30/5/11 - Custom Night
6/6/11 - Brit Bike Night
13/6/11 - Night of the living ZED (GPZ, Z1's, ZX and ZXR's etc)
20/6/11 - 80's Night
27/6/11 - FZ/YZF night
4/7/11 - American Night
11/7/11 - CBR/VFR Night
18/7/11 - Classic Bike Night
25/7/11 - Two-Stroke Night
1/8/11 - Learner Legal Night
8/8/11 - Streetfighter Night
15/8/11 - Trike Night
22/8/11 - V-Twins Night
29/8/11 - Tourer Night

Whadd'ya think ?

Rob

------------

Must be a revised version???

I'll send him a pm or Facebook him to get an definate answer on when it is.

I'll report back when he replies.

Ok.........

I sent Rob at Fylde Bike Meet this last night:

Quote:
Hi matey ....

The CBR evening seems to have changed dates and I can't seem to post in your thread... it says I'm not permitted to post in that thread ( lol ... you trying to tell me something??? lol ) .... can you confirm whether it's 16th May or 11th July please, as I've been asked by a few CBR owners who would like to attend.

Thanks

And I got this reply today:

Quote:

CBR night is 16th May. VFR night is 11th July.

Originally had a CBR/VFR night planned, but decided they warranted their own, given the longevity of the range.

Not sure why you can't post though !

The dates published on the site seem to be the correct dates .... and NOT the dates given in Rob's earlier post.

So it looks like the 16th May is a go-er!

If anyone fancies it, I'm sure it'll be a great evening if the weather is kind! I'll definately be there!

Thanks for that Shakey, looks like i'll be finishing work a little early on the 16th & saving up a bit of fuel money.

I'll prob get there around 7pm, any chance you can give any pointers/sugestions on where in the car park our forum members could meet.

See ya'll there.
