southwest florida now. wisconsin is pretty cool man, my family used to have a cabin in maustin (about an hr north of madison). road america is a great track. that's pretty sweet you get to go to indy too... you riding to it? there's a few tracks pretty close to me, but they're pretty small tracks, wera does a few races at them, but no ama roadrace tracks are remotely close.

BadS1 hope to be there in Indy this year. Went the first year which was shorten due to rain. It was a good time. I'm about 3 1/2 from AMA Virginia & NJ tracks. Been to MotoGP, WSBK (Utah) & AMA & had the most fun at the MotoGP event by far.

damn...thats awesome. i've never been to a race, just follow as many as i can on speed and the net. like i say, there aren't any tracks that are really close, and with as little time off from work as i have, convincing the wife to go would be next to impossible .... for some reason, she still says they're racing around in a circle and has no interest even though its not nascar.

however, anyone here ever been to the isle of mann? the wife and i are planning a trip to ireland, and she agreed to go around the manx gp time ( us floridians... we'd freeze to death any other time of year) and to see "the only road race that matters" - as they say. so hopefully, i'll be getting to go see it. and at least then i'll be able to say i've been to a race and it'll be such a sweet experience.

me too!!!! hahaha, ya, thats true, i could always check out the daytona 200. thats a pretty good bang-for-the-buck considering how many races they have that week. my wife has been to bike week a few times with her dad in the older days, i've never been. thats our busiest time of the year though at my job... i guess thats why i haven't ever looked into that one.... but i should. that's actually a really easy ride for me too.

Wow, motogp was crazy. They were dropping like flies out there. I can't believe how many people crashed, especially when quite a few crashed when they were by themselves. It looked like an all rookie race with some the overtakes and crashes out there. It didn't look like a group of seasoned veterans. It certainly didn't look like only the second race of the season. everyone was so aggressive and do or die mentality, it was odd.

I was very impressed with Rossi. Although not so impressed with his extremely risky move that didn't pay off when he took out stoner with the all too common Ducati front end tuck. I thought for sure stoner was going to win the race, and I still think he would have if Rossi hadn't crashed into him. But it does look like Rossi is coming back and probably could have won himself he was setting such a fast pace. Stoner took it well though. Surely very pissed, but he said nothing negative when he easily could have tore into Rossi for such a bad move. Stoner went up a few points in my mind. He handled the situation very well. I still think Stoner is going to walk away with the championship, though he is down a few points now.

Hayden did well. I am super happy he finished on the podium. After I saw the rain though, I knew he would do well as he seems to really place high in rain conditions. He really started to fade towards the end of the race and nearly lost his podium, but he also had a really, really. did I say really? really bad rear tire. Anytime he got on the gas at all, he was all over the place. I know his riding style contributes to condition and it seems every race he fades due to his tires being trashed, but I am super happy he is on the podium. At least he has the monkey off his back, no matter how he got it.

I feel pretty bad for Spies. He was in a great position, alone, and he crashed. He looked really good. Simoncelli too had the lead and looked good until his crash. Edwards was on his way to a good finish and also crashed. A lot of stranged crashes, which almost makes me think the track was a little too slipery. I know it was raining, but that many odd crashes from veteran riders with no one else around seemed very strange.

Lorenzo got the win but looked to be swolled up early in the race. Of course, he was the most impressive of everyone since he won, but you could really see how strong everyone else was, and it wasn't going to be a good day for him. But he did manage to stay on his bike were others did not. I'm not trying to take away from his win, because he did dominate it, but maybe his arrogance is beginning to make me dislike him. I know his english is not the greatest, but his interview really struck me the wrong way. Maybe just a language difference, but hard to say. I can say I don't see him being one of my favorite riders. I certainly don't hope he wins.

After seeing this race. the season will stack up to be a good one. there are a ton of really fast people and its going to be a good year. Pedrosa will be recovering from surgery and may not do so well the next race or two, but he may recovered too.

My prediction for the next race though. Rossi will be on the podium.

I'm not really sure why Stoner did not get back on the bike though. Rossi did and finished a good position. Stoner could have still finished good. I don't know if had an issue with the bike, or it was just that he didn't get the push start like Rossi did, and just gave up because he lost too much time. I know he had issues with Ducati being too banged up to restart, but the crash was fairly slow and it didn't look like too much damage was done Honda, if any.

If nobody went down Rossi would of took it. Right before he went down with Stoner he was a second faster then everyone on last lap. I think though he was alittle agressive. Known fact though.... Rossi is probably the best wet rider in the paddock.
