Being as this thread was givin life again i will drop in my two cents....

A mid 90's CBR huh? Bikes are fast bottom line, but a 600 of today has the power(maybe more) of a 954's and what not in the 90's.

Thats funny my buddy has a 05 600RR and he said the same thing before I smoked him on my 954. Have you compared the dyno charts of these 2 bikes? You should really do a little research before throwing out information that is not accurate.
lol yea really, the 954 is from like 2003 i believe? and it is just a tad (a small tad) slower than a brand new 1000. if someone on a 600 thinks that their bike is faster, then they are nuts, lol. the 600rr is on the same page ad the 900rr from the late 90s, but definetely not the 929's and 954's

I know a kid who has a 702hp RX-7 who freely admits to getting smoked off the line by bikes. The way he said for the car to be even with his car is to start at about 60mph. he said when he did that he was able to stay neck and neck with a GSX-R1000 and the bike still won. i think that kid is full of ****. The other day i had some kids in a new evo trying to goad me into racing them. i ignored them for most of the way but finally i wanted to shut thier little happy asses up. I ride an '03 600RR. i pulled on them bad in 1st, by the time i hit 3rd i could barely see thier lights. soooo, kid is full of ****.

Nice one, I ride a 97 cbr 600 over here in the UK and I have done loads of Porcshe 911 turbos, the odd ferrari and countless lambo's, all my mates who are into there tuned cars always say that their cars will do my bike but when I ask them to prove it they get all shy. yeah there are a few cars out there (not many) that will do a cbr 600 but they cost a damn lot more than my £2000 bike, and even then once they get stuck in traffic I will soon be miles in front!

I think it could very well have happened.

#1 Who knows who was driving the bike, he could have been a bad driver and didn'twantto flip the bike of the line.
#2 If that guy put alot of money in his car it could be the 1% car you guys keeep talking about.
#3 Who knows what kind of cbr600 it was, on a stock F2 the average driver could get low 12s, there are alot of cars out there that can do that. (tuner cars like this guys).

And about the second gear from a stop thing. That used to be the trick when guys started building turbo hondas. They would have too much power in first and they would shift right away so to save time from shifting they would start in 2nd. Look it up it was actually pretty common.

And Hondas never were built with turbos, even the type-r, even the NSX didn't have one.

My friend had a talon and he spent1000 bucks on it, basically ghetto exhaust, tuning random parts, custom intake, bigger intercooler, and nitrous (80 shot). He ran a 12.21 1/4mile. He said his clutch was burning the whole way down after he hit nitrous.

Anyways my point is there are plenty of people out there that spend lots of money on their cars and yea there are alot of posers out there but I bet you that there are alot of cars that can smoke my bike (cbr600f2). Don't say that he must have put crazy money in it to beat my bike or the only cars that can beat my bike are ferraris and lambos, because guess what there are people out there who buy these cars and drive them and spend ridiculous money on their cars. Of course they are less common but I gotta break it to you that not everybody out there buys a car because its fast, and not everybody who drives a srt-4 or mustang knows there cars aren't as fast as they think, they are stupid. But there are those who do know what they are doing and do like to build sleeper cars just for the fun of beating someone who thinks wow look another civic or look at that piece of crap.

Oh yea that reminds me there used to be a guy that cruised Hwy100 in milwaukee, that drove this crazy fast low 11sec car. Guess what it was? It was a 1989(ish) mitsubishi mirage.Probally the biggest sleeper I ever saw, hehad a 4g63 in it with who knows how much work done.

Look it upI think hisvideos are stillon the internetsearch for "Lil Evo" just like his license plate read.

+1 the Second gear thing is really common . i use to race motocross all over the state of texas (tell i cracked my skull) and i always left the line in 2nd . saves time and pulls hard if you have it built right
