Default Can this be true??

I was looking around on the web the other day and noticed this http://www.dsmtalk.com/forums/archiv...p/t-58281.html somehow i think this guy is lying. Although being as i know next to nothing about that type of car ill just leave it to some people that know cbrs and cars better.

depends on the situation. if someone dumped way too much money into a cage and came across a newbie on a bike, the possibility of the car outrunning him is possible. a good rider on a good bike against anything but the fastest cars = win for the bike. by the way, i believe that posting links to other sites is frowned upon.

only when the links are to another forum. kind of a competition thing. but that was to a car forum so i don't see anything wrong with it. that was an interesting site tho. makes me wonder if he did actually outrun a cbr600 or if he's just full of crap. or if he outran a moped and "thought" it was a cbr. or it could have been a paperboy on a huffy.

Actually there is a video showing a turbo'd mustang kicking the ever living dog snot out of a mid 90's CBR. This is a very fast car and have been a mechanic/machinist at a performance shop this is very possible to do.

link is dead now, but I'm assuming since it's a link to a dsm site that the car in question was an awd turbo eclipse/talon/laser. With some good mods it's def possible for an awd car to womp a 600.

I don't know, I raced a new Subaru WRX Impreza turbo AWD in Orlando a few weeks ago when I was down there for Bike week at Daytona. He kept up but nowhere near what the guy in the other forum is saying.

I don't know if it is too long ago to rebring up this thread, but there is one problem with the story. If he would have started in 2nd at that many revs the car would have gone no where once the light turned green. If he ment to say 1st then there is a story and it is debateable if he could have won. Just my 2 cents through the eyes of a car freak, I haven't met a car yet that can start in 2nd and actually get away from a light with any speed.

that link needs a video... in the movie 2 fast 2 real about a bunch of street racers an old muscle car whoops a 600 and gives a 1000 a run for his money.. but then again both the riders didn't look to experianced.. slow off the line and racing wearing shorts and short sleeves.. [>:]
