Did anyone say what caused it? He pretty much went straight into the wall. He looked to be at speed when he went off track.... Something mechanical maybe?

Yeah, I don't know.... It seemed to me that the problem was that he went down so early into the corner... Apparently, organizers didn't think crashes there would be a problem...

Don't know if you saw Cal's crash in the Mugello QP, but his bike folded up early into the corner too... Almost when he was upright.

That was my first thought anyways... I'd imagine being a Spanish rider in Spain - they'd really investigate the Salom crash fast.

MotoGP News - MotoGP Catalunya: 'Braking, bump caused Luis Salom fall'

Looks like it was bad timing... He braked on a bump and it caused him to go down.
