Default Braking problems

Hello,
Well I got my bike rideable and one of the first things I notice was while braking with my hand I twist the throttle a little. I can not recall if I was putting my weight on the handle bars or not but I think I might have been. If that isnt the case does anyone have any advise on how stop doing this?

You might want to try dropping the levers a little, most that have ridden my bikes complain that my levers are in a weird position cause I like to keep them lower than most so I operate them more with my fingertips so I won't twist my wrists when I do.

Mattson makes a good point. Another adjustment to make is to ensure the brake lever is far enough away from the grip that you can reach it with the first two fingers. If it's too close to the bar, you may be rolling your wrist down to pull the lever back.

I will make the adjustment and try that. Thanks again for your help.
