Default Wet Braking

Hi Guys, new CBR900RR 1998 owner here.
Fantastic bike and absolutely mint.

I was out riding today and it p*****d it down.

I am a bit concerned about the front brakes in the wet. I found that there was a least 1/2 a second before they started to bite and even then didn't seem terribly good. Were fine in the dry.

I have "BRAKING" wavey disks in excellent condition. According to the records the pads have 10k miles on them and were checked and cleaned about 1k - 1yr ago.

Any thoughts?

I have no idea what p*****d means.

I would get new EBC pads and change the brake fluid. If that doesn't help, then I'd suspect the discs just don't work well in the wet. Ride less in the rain, I guess.

Fitted new EBC pads, made no difference.

Have now re fitted the original discs, unfortunately one is very slightly warped.

However wet braking is now superb.

So I can only say that JT Braking discs for the CBR900RR

are rubbish in the wet. Look great, but can't risk leaving them on.

By the way is it me or is this site really slow??
