Gear Dryer
i got bored the other day and decided to make a gear dryer because i got caught in the rain on a 45 minute ride the other day, stupid dentist- made me wait an hour past my appointment to get in. it only took me a couple of minutes so it looks kinda rigged, well i know its half-assed, because i had to work on my statics homework so i didn't have much time. BUT!, the important thing is that it works perfectly. not to bad for it not costing me anything.
bottom pipes for shoes, concrete was cold didn't feel like taking mine off. the fan i had made a long time ago from old furnace and since it has to have a certain amount of backpressure i put a piece up top with a few holes in it to blow into my helmet and a screw to take it out with if needed. all the pipes are blocked off on ends on the outside but cut at a 45 degree angle on the opening inside the large pipe so they grab more air as it flows to the top. i was gonna epoxy all the connections but the little pipes fit really snug so they don't let any air out anyway. don't ask me what size pipes either because i just grabbed some of what we had laying around. sorry about the second picture being blurry, damn camera.

Not a bad idea.
All I do when I get caught in the rain is dry my jacket, gloves and helmet off as soon as I get in from the rain. It usually just takes about 2 bounty paper-towels. I dry off right away because I want to prevent more stretching of my leather jacket.
