Does anyone ride with boots???

Just ordered the Speed and Strenght, Coast is Clear boots and some Kevlar reinforced jeans. Reading all the past comments in this thread have me nervous. I like my feet and prefer to keep them with me.
We use a full complement of safety gear for our motorcross racing (boots, knee braces, Leatt neck brace, chest protector, etc...) but I thought that work boots would have been fine for the street. From the posted comments here, that is clearly not the case.

I wear boots all the time (with my jacket and gloves, I still have to get some kevlar jeans). They were SUPER uncomfortable at first but have molded to my feet. After a while I was able to walk around in them and now I'm as comfy as my normal shoes. When you first wear your boots outside (and especially if you will be walking a bit) it's a good idea to bring a pair of regular shoes. For the summer I'm getting some motorcycle shoes that look like normal shoes. You also have short boots which can be quite cool looking. I'll probably get the Diadora shoes because they are quite cheap although I do really like the Puma Flat V2 (in black and red). They look like basketball shoes.
